I'm not trying to bolster or downplay either game, but there is a significant technical difference between the resolutions of GT5 and Forza 4. Namely, GT5 outputs 50% more pixels on screen than Forza 4; you might want to check your math again.
You can argue about which game looks better, but from a technical standpoint, the engine powering GT5 is working harder.
The nexus battle island map(s?) are 48 vs 48 with only 2 factions fighting each other. These maps are also going to be the place for esports matches.

Why wouldn't we believe it? They said the code wasn't optimized so there would be fluctuations in the framerate. What's so unbelievable about that?
Kinda defeats the purpose of F2P if you still have a subscription paywall. MS should change that policy
I don't think I've ever seen a lot of gameplay leading up to a GTA release. It's usually just screenshots or short trailers. I honestly don't think we'll even see much more than another trailer or two, and some more screen grabs leading up until its release.

@Minato yeah the PS4 launch day edition ran out within a few days. If you were lucky enough, first orders for the standard edition (at least on amazon) were upgraded to day-one. At this point I don't know if you can preorder an "at launch" PS4 without it being in a bundle
